  Seton Catholic High holds benefit sale

Seton Catholic High School will hold a garage sale at 7 a.m. Sept. 20 in the school gym, 1150 N. Dobson Road. Furniture, books, toys, jewelry, DVDs, sports gear, housewares, exercise equipment, collectibles, etc., will be sold. Proceeds will benefit Seton athletic programs. Students, parents offered college info

The Chandler Unified School District's four high schools and the Arizona High School/College Relations Council will offer college information for students at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25 at Perry High School, 1919 E. Queen Creek Road, Gilbert. Students and their parents can learn about Arizona universities and community colleges, as well as colleges in New Mexico, during the event. High school counseling departments have information and lists of participating schools.

Golf tournament aids education efforts

The Chandler Education Foundation will hold its seventh annual golf tournament on Friday at the Whirlwind Golf Club, 5692 W. North Loop Road in the Gila River Indian Community. Tee times begin at 7:30 a.m. The event will include a continental breakfast, four-person teams, shotgun start, modified scramble, buffet lunch, silent auction and prizes. The foundation supports education in Chandler and provides gift cards to new teachers in the district and scholarships for students. Information: (480) 812-7631.
