Chandler Unified School District's Perry High School, located in Gilbert, will graduate 560 students this year. They have collectively earned more than $11.7 million in scholarships.

Chelby Johnson, 18

A little about the student: Chelby Johnson has a weighted grade point average of 4.7619. She has lived in Arizona her entire life. After college, she will attend Arizona State University in the School of Health Solutions.

Daniel Wahlin

A little about the student: I have been a resident of Arizona for 15 years. I worked hard in high school so that I could become Salutatorian with a 4.74 weighted grade point average. I enjoy playing sports, especially tennis and basketball! I played on the Perry tennis team for 3 years. I love God, Jesus Christ, America, my family, my good friends, and my high school. Now I'm ready to take on the next challenge: college! After that and a church mission, I will hopefully go to med school and enter the medical field.

Gregory Berghorst

A little about the student: Alex is a very well-rounded student, graduating with a 4.72 grade point average, while still balancing many other components in his life. He has participated in both school and club volleyball, and has exceeded both on the court and in the classroom. After graduation, he plans on attending ASU to study biomedical engineering, and afterwards, attend medical school in order to pursue his dream of being a surgeon.

Noted students:

Daniel Rabine, who will be studying International Relations at Brown University.

Jillian Leslie, who has been recruited to play softball at Harvard University.
