The Apache Junction Unified School District will hold a training session for parents of special-needs students about participation in the Individual Education Process (IEP) 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the boardroom at the Apache Junction High School, 2525 South Ironwood Drive.
The PowerPoint training provides an overview of the purpose of the IEP, who should be a member of the IEP team and attend the meetings, how parents can prepare for and participate in the process, what parents can do when they disagree with the proposed program and how to track their child’s progress.
