Children in grades three through eight can win an assortment of autographed books from author Jack Gantos by creating a bookmark inspired by one of his books or a character from one of his books. Contest rules and entry form can be obtained by visiting any Maricopa County Library District branch location or logging onto the website at www.mcldaz.org. The entry deadline for the contest is Dec. 7.

Gantos has written books for people of all ages. His most recent book is "Dead End in Norvelt."
