A team from Desert Vista High School in the Tempe Union High School District will compete this week in the 21st annual Department of Energy National Science Bowl.
The team will vie for a title against 109 regional championship teams from 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The students will be quizzed on biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, astronomy, and energy, as well as math, during the competition in Washington D.C.
