    Dear Spamola,

Following up on your comment about lawsuits -- an unhappy parent filed two lawsuits against Gilbert Public Schools alleging race discrimination, harassment and physical attacks against a high school student. A GPS Assistant Superintendent threatened to file a lawsuit against the parent in that case. Read about it here: http://tinyurl.com/9s2q9yq

Here's more news about a different GPS Assistant Superintendent threatening to bring a lawsuit against a former board member: http://tinyurl.com/8fzay4d

Gilbert Schools used to be rated very highly , they need to get rid of some people who make up rules that, are effecting a lot of people, students, Teachers, my son started GJH this year, have not been Happier, with the staff, Teachers, We need a Vote on this, they have no right some people depend ,on there children's being schooled in this area, we bought houses , because of this. From what i know of the what has been going on with Gilbert Allison, who has Law suits, he could be headed for another one'[sad]

Unfortunately, we have "progressives" leading our schools. I'm with Leon C.. We do not need to be more progressive. Look what that has gotten us. Most charter schools are a joke, too. I have 4 granddaughters who graduated from the same charter high school. They all loved the 4-day weeks and the progressive teachers. Three of them got "Presidential" scholarships, 2 were Valedictorian of their class. One other was Salutatorian of her class. i have had to tutor all 3 of them to get their math and writing skills high enough to pass the placement exams for Mesa Community College. My fourth granddaughter was so disgusted after her attempts to get into MCC that she just went and got a job at Walgreen's. I worry about the people who will be leading our nation when OUR kids reach retirement age.

It appears that Allison and his superintendents didn't come up with a coordinated communications plan for the months before the election. "Allison told the audience that he guaranteed every employee – from the teachers to the custodians – that they will have jobs next year." This guarantee comes from the same guy who promises teachers' jobs will be eliminated if the override doesn't pass. Allison recommended a 2% "stipend" this year, which will not be continued if the override doesn't pass. We all know that the board appears to adopt his recommendations without question.

Ironic, that Gilbert thinks they are doing parents a huge favor by opening a school which they feel the parents want, but more parents are upset by the closing. Oh well, just more kids for charter schools!

Arizona Schools need to end the Liberal-Marxist "mentoring" of the 1970's "Flower Child/San Francisco Hippie Teacher model and go back to......"BASICS"....the "Three R's" = Reading, 'Riting and 'Rithmatic.

Our school children don't need a "friend" in the Classroom.....THEY NEED A TEACHER.
