The two recent graduates from Desert Ridge High School have been named the Grand Prize winners of the Duck Tape “Stuck at Prom” scholarship competition.

Both Lara Ford and Cole Sudduth will receive $5,000 scholarships and Desert Ridge will also receive a matching prize for their win in the contest which required participants to decorate an entire prom ensemble using Duck Tape brand colored duct tape.

Both teens plan to pursue careers in the medical field, rather than the fashion world. Ford plans on attending Eastern Arizona College to study pre-optometry, and Sudduth plans to attend Chandler-Gilbert Community College and major in pre-med.

The Tribune profiled Ford and Sudduth and their “Stuck at Prom” efforts last month. Read the full story now at evtnow.com/3bt.
