Apache Junction district events honor Arizona's centennial

The Apache Junction Unified School District will mark Arizona's 100th birthday with a pair of events honoring the state's history through words and song.

On Feb. 2, historian, author, artist, publisher, and radio and TV personality Bob Boze Bell, along with the OK Chorale, will perform at Apache Junction High School's performing arts center (PAC), 2525 S. Ironwood Drive. Tickets cost $10.

Rex Allen Jr., entertainer and author of the Arizona state song, "I Love You Arizona," will perform Feb. 16 at the school's performing arts center. Tickets cost $15.

Both shows begin at 7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the door, at the district office, or online at www.ajusd.org by clicking on the ‘Community' tab, then ‘PAC Tickets.' Information: (480) 982-1110, Ext. 2250.
