Mesa’s Taylor Junior High School or Gilbert’s Carol Rae Ranch Elementary can win up to $15,000 for its innovative and creative educational efforts in this year’s Bookmans School Challenge.

Taylor and Carol Rae Ranch are two of the 10 Arizona semifinalists competing for a total $21,000. In the next phase, each school will submit a short video showcasing the school for online viewing. Voters on Facebook will help determine one of the three finalists, with the other two selected by a Bookmans committee. After visits by Bookmans, the runners up and finalist will be chosen.

Voters can go online to Bookmans’ Facebook page Feb. 16-22 to participate.

The finalists will be announced Feb. 25, with the winner named March 4.

For more information on the Bookmans School Challenge, visit www.bookmans.com/community.
