Do you, or someone you know, have a passion for barbershop-style music?

The East Valley Lamplighters Barbershop Chorus is seeking input from music educators to help them award scholarships and grants as part of their charitable mission to support vocal music education.

The chorus has donated thousands of dollars over the last decade. The group is looking for school choirs and quartets that sing in the barbershop style and sing a capella.

Scholarships have been awarded to non-music majors and singers based on talent, character, need, activity in vocal music, and citizenship in the school community. Charter schools and homeschooled singers are welcome to apply, too.

Anyone with a referral is invited to send e-mail, photos and letter to Jerry Fox at info@evbarbershop.com or visit the website at evbarbershop.com.
