Gilbert's Ashland Ranch Elementary School is in the running for a $10,000 grant to fund the painting of a Grand Canyon mural in a hallway. But community involvement is necessary for a win. As a finalist in the Pepsi Refresh Challenge, Ashland Ranch must be one of the top 15 vote-getters in the online contest to have the project funded. The contest continues until Sept. 30. To vote, text daily to 73774 and enter 108361 (the project number) in the message field, or visit www.refresheverything.com/ashlandranch. Participants can also "power vote" up to 100 votes per day by entering product codes from Pepsi products online.
