Bob Dailey was sworn in May 5 as the newest school board member for the Florence Unified School District.

Dailey replaces Hank Gooday, who resigned in early February because of other work commitments, according to the district.

He was appointed by Orlenda Roberts, a Pinal County School Superintendent.

Dailey moved to the Johnson Ranch area from southern California in July 2004. He is the owner and manager of Visiting Angels, a home care company for the elderly and terminally ill.

He has a sixth-grade daughter at Walker Butte.

Dailey’s term expires in December, although he plans to run for his position in the November election, according to the district.
