Mesa Unified School District will hold a public meeting for parents of seventh-graders to learn about Project MESA: Mesa's Education in Sexual Awareness.
The district offers four lessons that encourage sexual abstinence before marriage and emphasize possible consequences of teenage sexual activity, including pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
The parent meeting will be 7 p.m. Jan. 4 at Kino Junior High School, 848 N. Horne.
