The Arizona Department of Gaming says nearly 60 illegal gambling devices have been seized at more than 40 locations across the Phoenix metropolitan area.
With the assistance of the FBI in Phoenix and the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Department of Gaming agents served warrants on 45 businesses and one storage locker last weekend.
Agents seized 54 eight-line gambling devices and five coin pusher machines. The devices allow patrons to deposit money, play various casino-style games and win credits that can be redeemed for cash.
Authorities recently received information about a criminal enterprise in California that was moving to Arizona. The organization is suspected of distributing illegal gambling devices targeting various “mom and pop” convenience stores, gasoline stations and smoke shops throughout the Phoenix area.
No arrests have been made yet.

Thank God for the Police, Judges and various state attys. I almost became a victim of this horrible crime. Alot of people think that the Judges (most making over $100,000 a year) and the police (given job performance reviews and awards from groups like MADD) and also the State AG Attorney General (polically charged office), were only in this for the money and self serving interests for themselves. These heros are protecting us, just like the TSA, Border Patrol, and many other goverment sponsored tools of oppression... oops, civil servents, right they are protecting us from ourselves. Again bless those heros. I have to go now and get my papers in order as I need to go out to the store and buy milk, I hope my papers are in order and my story is straight, just going to get milk then go right home.....
