Chandler police are looking for two men and a truck after an automatic teller was stolen early Monday from a Chandler restaurant. An earlier attempt to grab an ATM in Mesa failed.

Chandler Detective David Ramer tells KTVK-TV that witnesses heard a loud, smashing sound and saw a Dodge truck backed up to Lazy Lou's American Grill at Price and Ray Roads.

Two men, over six-feet tall wearing masks and dark clothing, were seen lifting the ATM and putting in the back of the white Dodge extended cab truck.

Earlier in Mesa, police say two men tried to steal an ATM from a check cashing store at Dobson Road and Main Street.

The men hooked a cable from a white Dodge truck to an ATM, but the cable snapped and the crooks were unable to steal the ATM.

Here is a thought, take some of the money from inside the ATM, purchase a GPS tracking system, install it inside the ATM and catch these guys.
    Just a thought
