Mesa police responded to the scene of a likely murder early Friday morning at a home near Lindsay Road and Southern Avenue.
According to Mesa police Sgt. Tony Landato, police received a 911 call from the house at 12:30 a.m. The call was an open line with no one talking and no sounds.
Police arrived and found one person who was critically injured. That person died on the scene.
Later in the day Friday, Mesa police identified the victim as Nelson Baker, 22.
There were two other people at the scene. One was suffering from non-life threatening injuries and another person ran off but returned later. That individual was under questioning early Friday.
Mesa police believe this could possibly be a home invasion.
Landato said there were three to four suspects who drove off in a black passenger car.
