Police: Mesa Chase bank branch robbed at gunpoint

A man walked into a branch of Chase Bank in east Mesa on Wednesday morning, plopped a bag down on the counter and told the clerk to fill it up.

About 9:45 a.m., a robbery suspect described as a white male about 60 years old carrying a black handgun arrived outside the bank at 1021 N. Ellsworth Road on a bicycle.

He entered the bank and ordering the clerk to fill his bag with money, according to Mesa police.

The suspect is still at large.
