Police are asking for the public's help finding the person who killed a 37-year-old woman in Tempe.

Tempe police spokesman Michael Pooley said Joann Rotz was found by police in a dirt lot near Rural Road and Apache Boulevard around 1 p.m. on November 21.

Investigators determined Rotz died from trauma to her upper body.

Pooley said police believe Rotz was homeless. Authorities said she was often seen in the company of transients.

The Tempe Police Department is looking for anyone who may have seen Rotz before November 21, or that may have any information related to her death.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311, or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (480-948-6377). Silent Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.

This is very sad and instructive for those families who know they have a member that is out there living on the street. Many of these people have mental problems that leads them to the point that they "check out". However, they are a mother, a father, a son or a duagther to someone. Please help your family members to stay off the streets and seek the help they need. This is unfortunatly the end result sometimes when people are left out on the streets.

As unfortunate as this story is-------this may be the norm as tens of thousands of otherwise productive citizens become federal gov't dependants. When the realization of the full cost of obamacare comes into play, tens of thousands more will be added to the federal trough. Every "RED" state in the union will eventually implode due to unfunded, unrealistic pension mandates orchestrated by you local, friendly neighborhood union thug.
