Police catch 2 involved in Gilbert home invasion; search continues for 3rd suspect

Police have apprehended two people involved in a Gilbert home invasion Friday morning, and a third suspect remains on the loose.

The incident in the 900 block of South Wanda Drive triggered a lockdown at Finley Farms Elementary School. Although the school no longer is on lockdown, police remained at the campus providing security.

About 9 a.m., Gilbert police responded to a report about of two people forcing their way into the home and pointing a gun at an 18-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl who live at the residence.

The two men fled the home moments before one of the teenagers called 911. Police apprehended one of the men and a woman who drove the getaway car.

The third suspect police are searching for is described as a Hispanic male, 20 to 23 years old, and wearing a dark shirt and shorts or blue jeans.
