A 35-year-old Mesa man was stabbed in the back by his girlfriend Sunday morning, according to Gilbert Police.

Latina Marie Carr, 39, of Gilbert, was arrested after police received two 911 calls from a home in the 4000 block of East Libra, police said. The man called police while locked in the bathroom of the Gilbert home after he was stabbed.

Police believe the incident was caused by an argument, which occurred after the victim received a phone call from another woman. The victim was transported to Banner Gateway Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Carr was booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on suspicion of aggravated assault charges, Gilbert Police said.

Is this a mug shot? Lots of cleavage there - but she DOES look like a mean woman. It'll be interesting to hear the full story. The bottom line is that people who use weapons in order to "solve" arguments really need to have LOTS of jail time in order to, perhaps, develop new coping skills.
