A Mesa Native New Yorker was burglarized early Wednesday, with four TVs and money from the ATM stolen.

The burglar is believed to have pried open the door of the vacant business next door. The suspect then took a saw and cut into the wall of the Native New Yorker. Once inside the restaurant, it's believed that the suspect pried open the ATM and took money from the ATM safe. The suspect also took four flat screen TVs from the restaurant, Mesa police said.

The Native New Yorker is located at 318 E. Brown Rd. in Mesa.

I don't patronize NNY any more. I've been to the one on Gilbert Road, north of US 60, many times over the years, and they repeatedly messed up my order. Again and again. It seems to be a staff problem, as many of the employees that waited on me were either new or overwhelmed (or both). But you can only give a place so many chances (we went there because it was close); we won't go to any NNY ever again.
