Police still are seeking four men including a person of interest in the shooting death of a 38-year-old Chandler man.

In February, Juan Jose Makil, 38, was shot to death inside a residence in the 500 block of North Delaware Street, located south of Galveston Street and close to Arizona Avenue, in what police believe is a drug-related shooting.

Police are asking the public’s help in locating Guadalupe Encinas Jr., a “person of interest” in connection to the homicide.

Encinas has been known to be in possession of firearms in the past. Police consider him to be armed and dangerous and are asking the public not to approach him, but to contact police.

Although there have been two arrests throughout the investigation of the case, those arrests were unrelated to Makil’s death, police said.

The arrests, which were unrelated to the shooting, were of Miguel Varelas, 36, on suspicion of a weapon by a prohibited possessor, and Camelia Makil, 34, who was wanted on an outstanding federal warrant from the U.S. Marshal’s Office for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
