A taxi driver was beaten up and robbed in Mesa about 5 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

According to a report, a AAA taxi was called to the 600 block of South Alma School Road at 4:40 a.m. Wednesday to pick up a rider. When the driver arrived, he was approached by two men who got into the taxi. They then began punching him and took his wallet, police said. The taxi driver received minor injuries.

Police are still seeking the two assailants – one white male and one Hispanic male, both in their 20s – who fled from the scene.

Hey, that's only a hop, a skip and a jump from the Fiesta Mall where our ever-spendful "Powers-that-be" in the Mesa City Hall are going to be spending $15,000,000.00 or is it ....$20,000,000.00 or is it.....$40,000,000.00 of the Mesa Tax-Payer's hard earned Dollars.

Yes, the Fiesta Mall area of Mesa is going to outshine ....Mesa's Las Sendas District......the "Powers-that-be".....have decided that South-Western Mesa is going to become Mesa's....."BEVERLY HILLS".
