The Gilbert Police Department will host a community meeting 7 p.m. Thursday at the Town Hall Council Chambers, 50 E. Civic Center Drive, regarding the investigation into the shootings that left four adults and one toddler dead last week.

Mayor John Lewis will speak, and representatives from the police department will provide an overview of the ongoing investigation. Topics and concerns relating to domestic violence will also be addressed.

Police and community representatives do not plan to take questions from the media.

The event will be televised live on local Cox Channel 11 and streamed on Gilbert Live on the town website, www.gilbertaz.gov.

Police have said they believe J.T. Ready, former leader of a white supremacist neo-Nazi group and outspoken vigilante against illegal immigration, shot and killed three adults and a child in the Gilbert home before killing himself.
