A reckless motorcycle driver was reported to police prior to a single motorcycle accident early Tuesday morning, according to Gilbert police.
John Pearce, 22, was found lying in the roadway with severe head and arm injuries on Gilbert Road, just south of Warner Road, Gilbert police said. Pearce was wearing a helmet. He was transported to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center for treatment.
The Gilbert collision reconstruction team is investigating the crash. Alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the accident, police said.
