Sheriff Joe Arpaio doubled the reward amount to $10,000 Friday for information leading to the arrest of anyone caught vandalizing his campaign signs, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
County officials said there has been a significant increase in the number of Arpaio campaign signs defaced and vandalized during the last few days.
Signs along Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale were marked with dollar signs Thursday night, but there have been many more reports across the Valley of signs being torn down, burned, cut up, and spray-painted with swastikas and profane messages, according to officials.
In a press release, Arpaio said the sign damage costs have totaled more than $40,000.
In August, the sheriff offered a $5,000 reward, but the recent increase in vandalized signs prompted him to double it.
Defacing a political sign is a misdemeanor and punishable by up to four months in jail, a $700 fine and up to two years probation, according to MCSO.
According to the East Valley Tribune, Arpaio said in a statement that he has raised more than $7 million for his campaign, so the reward money would not be paid with tax dollars.
MCSO is asking anyone with information to contact the Arpaio campaign headquarters at (602) 235-9320.

And when will Arpaio go after rapists and pedophiles?

Arpaio should offer a reward for his ethics and common sense, as it seems he lost those many years ago. He also lost his memory, if you look at what he says when he takes the stand in court cases, like the Thomas disbarment hearings.

I'll bet that reward is negotiable.

Joe's senile and a bigot.
Most of his signs are not legal due to their location.

Juggernaut8000....."Their efforts are in vain though, because Arpaio will win and hopefully rid this state of even more illegals."..... Yeah 8-10 at a time and only if the cameras are rolling. And nevermind the employers, they'll never be charged. And sex offenders never had it so good. Nickle Bag Joe will be retired to the rest home by this time next month where he can tell tall tales of how he broke the French connection to a captive audience. Maybe even sell them tickets on his rocketship to space.

I wonder if Arpaio would go after anybody vandalizing his opponent's signs? After the job he did on Saban, I doubt it.

I know who the culprit is. It is a bleeding heart liberal who wants illegals to roam free across Arizona.
Their efforts are in vain though, because Arpaio will win and hopefully rid this state of even more illegals.

Arpaio spends 40k on signs but Arpaio cost the taxpayers millions.
