Police investigate eye stabbing

Police are investigating an apparent eye stabbing at Pioneer Park that left a man hospitalized at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital early Friday.

The victim, who walked to a Circle K convenience store at 310 N. Mesa Drive and told police he was waiting for his ex-girlfriend to arrive at Pioneer Park so he could borrow $5 for gasoline, said he was attacked by an unknown person with an unknown weapon.

He told police that his keys and cell phone were stolen, but police found them when they checked his truck at the park.

The victim’s account of the incident to police changed a number of times and he was unable to provide a description.
