Updated: Victim identified in Mesa garage homicide

Police have identified the man who fell to his death from the Pepper Street garage as Dustin S. Burton, 30, of Mesa.

Roderick Deshan Wagoner, 20, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and booked at the Mesa Police holding facility. He will be transported to the 4th Avenue Jail. Wagoner has not admitted to involvement in the crime.

Burton died after falling three stories from the city garage at 30 W. Pepper Place after arguing with another man, according to police. He had serious head injuries and later was pronounced dead at Scottsdale Healthcare hospital, police said.
