The Pinal County Sheriff's Department is looking into an incident where a teacher is accused of hurting a student.

It happened at Copper Basin Elementary School in Queen Creek.

The P.E. teacher is accused of grabbing a 9-year-old girl by the arm after he was hit with a shoe.

The student was taken to the hospital by her parents as a precaution.

The student's parents told ABC15 that the girl's forearm is sprained and in a sling.

The teacher is on administrative leave.

Where is the criminal intent here? The punk kid now has a 'sprained arm'...BS...that means only one thing that the parents can sue for money that taxpayers are assumed to pay.

I call BS and hope that child and parent (s) get called out on their worthless call.

Hmmmm? Do you know what kind of force it takes to "sprain" a 9 year olds arm? More than a grab I would suspect. I tend to agree with Jug here that this seems like it has the potential for overreach and a pending lawsuit. If this kid was indeed hurt, my sense is that it would be pretty easy to have other kids eye witness the kind of "grab" it would take to sprain a 9 year old's arm.
