Let's hope that we finally see some justice from this lawsuit. Ex-Ex-Maricopa County District Attorney, Rick Romley, in 2002 (10 years ago) took the Diocese of Phoenix and former Bishop of Phoenix, Timothy O'Brien to court but for some reason, never convened a Grand Jury. The case was "plea-ed out", as they say, Bishop O'Brien got probation because jail time was never on the table, if I remember right. The Diocese promised never, never, never to send pedophiles from parish to parish and report child abuse by her priests from the get go.
How many times have American Citizens seen the Bishops, the Archbishops and the Cardinals of the Catholic Church get probation or their hands spanked and never served one single day.....NOT ONE SINGLE DAY.....OF JAIL TIME.
I remember reading an article in the Long Beach Telegram when Cardinal McIntyre skated on his 2-foot high stack of evidence. It seems that Irish-Catholic Prosecutors or District Attorneys or Attorney Generals are also worried about their "soul" and not the job that they swore an oath to enforce. I bet this would be a great ...master's thesis project for some one in law school or studying criminal law. "WHY ARE ALMOST EVERY SINGLE DISTRICT ATTORNEY, COUNTY ATTORNEY, CITY ATTORNEY AND STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL = IRISH CATHOLICS".
