Gilbert police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a female robbery suspect that officers say robbed a Safeway grocery store about two weeks ago.

The woman, who is described to be in her late 20s with blonde hair and was wearing a baby blue short sleeve T-shirt and large sunglasses, walked into the Safeway at 90 S. Val Vista Drive at Elliot Road shortly after 3 p.m. on Sept. 7.

No details were immediately available about the robbery or if the woman, who also had a tattoo on her left arm, acquired any cash.

Anyone who recognizes the woman can call Gilbert Police at (480) 948-6377 or submit a tip at www.gilbertaz.gov/police/submitatip.

This is very strange that Gilbert PD is investigating a bank robbery. All they are good for is writing speeding tickets to soccer moms and looking for reasons to bring money into the court system.
