A legendary barber shop with a familiar name and face is opening in a new location.
“Papa” Joe Lazzara, who owns Papa Joe and Son’s Barber Shop, is hosting a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Palm Court Centre, 393 W. Warner Road, Chandler.
The new location is near his former location at the nearby Target Center in Chandler where his shop was for 17 years with walls adorned by numerous framed stories in major newspapers across the United States as well as framed photographs of various celebrities Lazzara has met through his 58 years in the hair-cutting business. His son, Joe Lazzara, has been cutting hair alongside his father for 27 years.
