Chandler police are hosting their annual open house at the Chandler Heights Substation on Oct. 15. From 8 a.m. to noon, officers will be on hand from the department’s patrol, special assignment and K-9 units. The event includes a demonstration from the K-9s and their handlers. Also, the Arizona Game and Fish Department will host its third annual urban fishing clinic and outdoor safety event at the adjacent Veterans Oasis Park. The events are at the substation, 4040 E.
