The atmosphere cannot be beat. It is cozy and comfortable inside with a sushi bar, where you can watch the chef preparing your sushi — perfect for a first date.
It also boasts a large outside patio, which has turned into the “hot spot” in Chandler for those who want to be seen and those looking for a fabulous happy hour. Kona has tantalizing drinks, delectable appetizers and the sushi, well, it’s just delicious. One of my favorite appetizers at Kona Grill is the Kona Calamari. It is always spiced to perfection. Another divine item that shouldn’t be overlooked is the Oriental Salad with macadamia nut chicken. You also might want to try the Reverse Happy Hour. It is perfect for grabbing a drink after seeing a movie at the Harkins Theatre, which is within walking distance.
