The 13th-annual Chandler Jazz Festival returns to Downtown Chandler March 30-31.
The free, two-day event will feature 12 combined indoor and outdoor venues — the main stage will be at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park, 3 S. Arizona Ave. — and will host 35 bands, and 170 jazz musicians from 4:45 to 9:30 p.m. on March 30 and noon to 9:30 p.m. the following day.
Featured artists include the Dominick Farinacci Quintet, Jones Jazz Quintet, Cliff Wright Quintet, Chandler-Gilbert Community College Jazz Band, Scottsdale Community College Jazz Orchestra, The Four Year Plan, Royce Murray Jazz Ensemble, Papa John DeFrancesco Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Militia, Raul Yanez and Zona Libre and The Energy Trio.
Artists and other venders will also have their work and goods on display – and for sale – in the park both days.
A blanket or lawn chair is recommended for those looking to enjoy the outdoor performances, and plenty of free parking is available in the downtown area. A parking map, complete entertainment schedule, and more details are also available online www.chandleraz.gov/jazz.
