A.T. Still University will host its sixth annual Community Health & Wellness Day April 20 at the Chandler CARE Center, 777 E. Galveston St.
The event is free and open to the public 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Participants of all ages can receive health screenings, health information, meet the Phoenix Sun’s Gorilla, take part in children's activities and enjoy treats and raffles.
All A.T. Still University programs will be present offering screenings in: vision and hearing, blood pressure, blood sugar, general dental screenings, dental sealants, dental fluoride varnish, bike helmet fittings, and other health-related services.
In addition, information on CPR, exercise, nutrition, vaccines, and oral hygiene will be offered.
More than 200 students will be onsite to provide services to residents, under the supervision of A.T. Still University faculty.
Children must be accompanied by a legal guardian and services are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spanish interpreters will be on-site to assist as needed.
