The Chandler Police Department is now accepting applications for its next Citizens Police Academy. The 13-week academy begins Feb. 6 and runs through April 24. Applicants must be 18 years old, must either work, live, or attend school in the City of Chandler, and must pass a basic background check in order to participate.

The Citizens Police Academy gives participants a look inside the day-to-day operations of the department, and the guidelines in which officer’s function. Instruction in these police procedures and theory is combined with practical, hands-on scenarios from officers in their fields.

Applications are available online at evtnow.com/4y5. Contact the department’s Crime Prevention Unit at (480) 782-4521 for questions.
