Trinity Donovan was elected Chandler's vice mayor for the coming year by the City Council on Thursday night.
The unanimous vote was the only action taken during the meeting, which was primarily devoted to ceremonies surrounding the transition between outgoing mayor Boyd Dunn and new mayor Jay Tibshraeny. Re-elected Council members Donovan and Jeff Weninger and new member Kevin Hartke also took oaths of office.
Donovan, 33, is the executive director of Chandler Christian Community Center. She has served on the Council since 2006.
