A Chandler man who manufactured and sold steroids over the Internet was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison for his role in operating www.anabolic-superstore.com, the United States Attorney’s Office in Connecticut announced Thursday.

Matthew Peltz, 37, who pleaded guilty to anabolic steroid distribution charges in September 2007, conspired with two other Arizona residents to purchase more than 1 kilogram of raw steroid powder from China to manufacture steroids and sell them through a MySpace.com profile, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
