Basha High School graduate Hunter Williams has been recognized by the Wells Fargo Foundation and the National Federation of Independent Business’ Young Entrepreneur Foundation with a Young Entrepreneur Award and a $1,000 scholarship.
Williams, who started a business selling broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage to teachers at his high school, was one of 26 high school students nationwide to receive the award, which honors “entrepreneurial spirit and initiative.” Williams, son of Ken and Jean Williams, also sells swine at the county fair. His products are grown on family property in Gilbert. He plans to attend Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
