Chandler Mayor Tibshraeny honored by East Valley Partnership

Chandler Mayor Jay Tibshraeny was recently awarded the Dwight Patterson Lifetime Achievement Award by the East Valley Partnership. Each year, the group honors an individual from the East Valley for his or her “significant lifelong contributions to their community and exhibits the characteristics of a true leader,” according to a press release.
“Tibshraeny began his service to the community in 1980 as a member of the City of Chandler’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Six years later he was elected to the City Council, where he served until he was elected mayor in 1994 for four consecutive terms through 2002. Tibshraeny then was then elected to the Arizona State Senate where he served from 2003-2011,” the release states. He returned in 2011 as mayor.

Finally.....finally....the East Valley Partnership has award the Dwight Patterson Lifetime Achievement Award to a local Politician who is.............PRO-SB 1070.
The good Mayor of Chander Jay Tibshraeny was an Arizona State Senator when SB 1070 came up for a vote and ex-Senator Tibshraeny had the guts and the Patriotism and Love-of-Country to vote............YES on ....SB 1070.
I bet lots of the ultra-Liberal, pro-Illegal Alien Amnesty Directors on the East Valley Partnership Board screamed load and long about giving this prestigious award to a.............CONSERVATIVE.
