A Chandler woman who pleaded guilty to computer tampering in a high-profile sexual abuse case involving the former wife of a Maricopa County supervisor has been sentenced to one year of supervised probation.

Christian Hart Weems entered a plea deal last August in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Weems is a friend of Susan Brock, who’s serving 13 years in prison for molesting a teenage boy over a three-year period.

Weems had been accused of destroying and altering evidence in the personal email account of the boy Brock was charged with molesting. Weems’ lawyer says she pleaded guilty to illegally accessing the account, not destroying emails.

Brock is the ex-wife of Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock.

The 37-year-old Weems had been out on bond.

This entire case was a waste of taxpayers' money.
