The Chandler Chamber of Commerce announced it will support the override attempts going on by three school districts with ties to the city.
In a press release, the chamber stated it is in favor of the override items for the Chandler Unified School District, the Kyrene School District and the Tempe Union High School District. Residents will vote on the issues during the Nov. 5 election.
President and CEO Terri Kimble said the organization supports the overrides in part because of the effect education has on attracting companies to Chandler.
"The key to a strong community begins within the education system that is responsible for teaching our children,” she said in the release.
