Mayor Jay Tibshraeny has announced an initiative that will provide neighborhoods across Chandler with help to become more sustainable in current economic times.
The Traditional Neighborhood Academy will launch Feb. 2 and run for six weeks on Wednesday night. The class will provide educational resources and tools for residents of traditional (non-homeowners' association) neighborhoods and help to identify and develop community leaders.
Course topics will include leadership development, communication, neighborhood structure, neighborhood planning, understanding city resources and "training the trainer."
