Chandler Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Dave Warkentin has resigned his post effective immediately to take a position with Sygnifi Networks, a national technology company.

“They have been trying to recruit me for a few years now and they made me an offer I simply couldn’t refuse,” Warkentin in a news release. “This move will give me the opportunity to do something a little bit different and follow one of my many passions. I wish to thank the Board of Directors for allowing me the opportunity to serve the chamber and the wonderful membership and chamber staff for their support.  It has been a privilege serving Chandler’s business community.”

Warkentin has been with the chamber since May 2010. Until a permanent replacement is found, the chamber’s executive committee of the board of directors, chaired by ASU’s Angela Creedon will oversee operations.

“Dave has made an impact at the Chandler Chamber in his short time here,” Creedon said. “He is leaving behind a talented staff that will continue to work diligently to fulfill the chamber’s mission.”
