Are you the parent or caregiver of a special needs child? Do you want help from another mom who has been there?

Teresa Welsh and her group, Kids Reading New Heights, is offering several webinars for this month.

“Special education and IEP” will be held 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 19 and 22. The event will discuss what’s in an IEP (individual education plan) and what strategies are needed for a special needs child. Parents should have their IEP next to them to pose questions.

“Transition services in high school” will be held 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and March 27. Learn about what parents can do to set up their child for success when they leave high school. Learn about how it can be addressed in an IEP.

Welsh also offers workshops through Chandler’s Tumbleweed Recreation Center.
