Children and their caregivers will now have a fun place to play outdoor games and activities in Chandler.
The Born Learning Trail is designed to help parents and caregivers create learning opportunities for young children. It will be installed at the Chandler Christian Community Center Sept. 22 by the Chandler Leadership Institute’s Class of 2012.
The outdoor area surrounding the church, located at 345 S. California St., will be transformed during the daylong project.
Each year the Chandler Leadership Institute participants identify and complete a community service project as part the program. The class project provides an opportunity for participants to develop and exhibit their leadership skills by working as a team to give back to the community in which they work or live, the city of Chandler.
“Leaders coming together through the installation of the Born Learning Trail, the 2012 Chandler Leadership Class has the opportunity to impact hundreds of children in our community and future generations to come,” said Chandler Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Terri Kimble.
The public can view the project 9 a.m. Sept. 29 during an open house. Goodie bags will be given to the first 300 children in attendance.
