Chandler Fashion Center reopens again for business Thursday after a wild shootout forced an evacuation and lockdown.

No one was hurt inside or outside the mall after separate shootings Wednesday outside a Sears store and a Baja Fresh restaurant north of the mall.

After several hours of tense negotiations, the suspected gunman, 27-year-old Adam Hernandez, surrendered.

A Department of Public Safety spokesman says the first burst of gunfire erupted when members of a U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force confronted a man they believed to have committed several robberies in recent days.

The suspect the task force was tracking was at first believed to have been the same man who shot at DPS officers in Casa Grande and was mistakenly released from custody last month.
