A Glendale woman is safe after being assaulted as she left the laundry room at her apartment complex on Tuesday.

The victim, a woman in her in her twenties, was able to fight off the attacker at the complex at 4529 W. Ocotillo Road. A search of the area was conducted but the suspect was not located.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late teens or early twenties, 5 foot 7 inches tall, medium build, clean shaven with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, denim pants and white sneakers.

Because the suspect was seen hanging around the complex for several hours before the attack, Glendale Police detectives will be handing out a sketch of the suspect around the neighborhood.

If anyone has any information about this incident they are asked to call the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000.
