Queen Creek residents should receive trash and recycling start-up packets in the mail this week, explaining the new program that will start in most parts of the town in September, according to a town statement.

The town council approved a contract in January with Right Away Disposal for the town’s first communitywide recycling and trash pick-up service.

The packets will include zone maps showing start dates, collection days and bulk pick-up days for sections of the service area.

Residents are urged to read their packets and take steps to prepare for the start of service.

Residents with additional questions can call (480) 358-3450.

Zone maps and frequently asked questions are available at www.queencreek.org under departments, and then trash and recycling.
